So far behind!!

I just realized I hadn't posted anything on here for quite a while. Needless to say we have been very busy with summertime activities. Again, I am sorry I have no pictures. I just cleaned off the memory card so I have no reason to not take more pictures!

The last weekend in June Mike had a softball tourney in Sioux City. The morning was a little chilly so Libby and I went and hung out at my sister's for a while. After it got a little warmer, Libby and I went to the ballpark for a little while. We then went to play with Sophie's toys because she was napping. Jeni, Libby and I went to lunch. When we got back Sophie was up and the weather was nicer so we decided to go swimming in Jeni's pool. We ended up hanging out at Jeni's for quite a while because when we got back to the ballpark Mike's team was done and it was time to go. We ended up not spending the night and just going for the day.

During the long 4th of July weekend we were super busy! Mimi and Papa came into town on Friday morning. Mike Jr and Sr went golfing while us 3 girls and Austin went to Uncle Rod and Aunt Callie's to visit and go swimming. It was definitely NOT swimming weather! All the little girls were freezing even though the water was warm. The rain shortened our swimming a little but we still had a good time. Friday night we had a BBQ at our house with a portion of the Marlow family.

Saturday we went back to Uncle Rod and Aunt Callie's for the 4th of July potluck. Again, the weather was not great for swimming but Mike braved it with Libby since I had my torture the day before. It was great to hang out and visit with everyone. Saturday night we had another BBQ at our house with the Marlow clan. Libby and Jordyn didn't have naps that day (plus Jordyn didn't feel well) so it was a challenge to keep them chipper until the fireworks started. Once it got dark and we started sitting in the front yard, they were both great! The fireworks in Omaha are AWESOME! I guess I am used to living in Iowa where you can't set them off in your own yard. Mike is already making his plan so show up the neighbors next year.

The last two weeks Libby has been taking swimming lessons everyday (tomorrow is her last day). I will say that she is learning a little bit but has problems listening to the instructor. She thinks we are there to play. I have taken her swimming at our regular pool a couple of times since lessons have started and she will do a few things that she has learned. However, I definitely think she is ready for the next level of lessons because of her age and interest in swimming. She might listen a little better if I am not around and if she is around older kids (7 of the 8 kids in her class were younger than her.) that know how to listen.

On July 9th Libby and I made an impromptu visit to Sioux City. Libby visited with Uncle Matt, Aunt Kim, Taylor and Caleb while I went out with Jeni. It was our first childless adventure for a long time. Carla joined up with us later. We had a good time catching up without interruption. Friday morning I left Libby with Mimi so Kim and I could go to Cherokee. My grandparents are moving so we went to help them pack a little, get a few things organized and do a some cleaning. I am glad to say that Libby is an GREAT traveler. If she weren't, I don't think I would leave Omaha so much by myself.

I am sure there is more to fill in some of the blanks. I will post more when I start remembering :)
